Chicken Green Masala

This is a green chicken curry, cooked in Mangalorean style with a lot coriander and mint leaves.

1kg chicken

Marinate chicken in the following mix for an hour or two

3tbsp yoghurt

¼tsp turmeric

1tsp ginger garlic paste

¾tsp salt

Grind the foll:

2onions

4 green chillies

1 pod garlic

Ginger

Cinnamon

Cloves

Cardamom

½tsp cumin powder

8-10 cashewnuts (optional)

A bunch of coriander leaves

Few mint leaves

Few curry leaves

Seasoning

1onion sliced

1tomato finely chopped

Method:

Heat 1tsp ghee and fry one sliced onion to golden brown, add a chopped tomato, fry well, add the marinated chicken and let it fry, close the lid. Water will be released so let it cook for fifteen minutes. Mix in the masala + its water and get the required consistency. Boil well for two minutes and put off the fire.
