Fenugreek flat breads

Methi Paratha Recipe

Paratha made from fresh methi / fenugreek leaves indeed is very healthy and tasty.

Ingredients

2 cups wheat flour

1 cup washed and chopped fresh methi leaves

1tsp ginger garlic paste

Half cup curds

2tsp oil

Half tsp chilli powder

Half tsp turmeric powder

Quarter tsp cumin or jeera powder

Quarter tsp carrom seeds or ajwain

Salt to taste

Water as required

Take all the above ingredients in a mixing bowl and mix well. Add water as required little at a time and make it into a smooth dough. Cover the bowl with a moist cloth and let it rest for an hour.

Take a small portion and roll into a ball and then flatten it. Sprinkle some flour and roll it flat like a thick chapati with a roller. Spread half tsp oil over it and fold it into a ball and roll it flat again.

Heat a tawa on medium flame, once hot place the paratha on it and fry for a minute, when lightly fried flip it and fry the other side, apply half tsp oil or ghee on both sides of the paratha and fry until lightly brown.

You can serve this methi paratha with curds or any gravy.
